Measurements Guide For Custom Kameez

The Classic, Comfortable, Convenient Kameez, need to have it custom made with a beautiful fabric of your choice or excited to make it yourself. Everyone looks good in a Salwar Kameez, especially in a well fitted suit. A great fit requires precise body measurements.

How to Take Measurements For Custom Kameez

You can take some measurements yourself, such as chest size,  for other measurements have a friend help you.
  1. Use a Tape measure (cloth measuring tape) to take measurements.
  2. Hold the tape measure straight and snug, and not tight around the body.
  3. Record your measurements in inches and double check for accuracy.
 

Measurements for Custom Made Kameez

FRONT BODICE: Measurements For Custom Kameez


1.  Neck to Sleeve Cap - Measure from neckline seam (at shoulder) to shoulder bone.

2.  Neck Depth (Diagonal measurement) - Measure diagonally across from neckline to desired depth (general  depth is 6.5 to 7 inches)

3.  Armhole  Depth (Arm circumference) - Measure from top  edge of the shoulder, under the arm pit  to the back  edge of the shoulder.

4.  Sleeve Length - Measure from your shoulder bone down to desired length of sleeve.

5.  Bicep Circumference (Top arm round) - Measure around your biceps (with your elbow bent).

6.  Elbow Circumference - Measure around your elbow (bent at right angle),  required only for 3/4 or full sleeves.

7.  Forearm circumference (Lower arm round) - Measure around the the widest part of your forearm (required only for 3/4 or full sleeves).

8.  Bust-point Depth - Measure from mid-shoulder to point of bust.

9.  Chest - Measure around the fullest point of bust.

10.  Waist - Measure around natural waist line.

11.  Hip - Measure around fullest part, usually 7-9 inches from waist.

12.  Kameez Length - Measure from mid-shoulder to desired length of kameez.


BACK BODICE: Measurements For Custom Kameez



1. Neck Line (Neck width) - Measure shoulder seam to shoulder seam along the back base of neck (A to B).  This is width of the neckline (how wide you want your neckline to be).

2. Shoulder to Shoulder - Measure from right shoulder bone to left shoulder bone across back. (sleeve seam to sleeve seam).

3.  Shoulder to Waist - Measure from Shoulder to Waistline.

4.  Shoulder to Hip - Measure from Shoulder to Hip.

5.  Full Sleeve Length (Optional) - With elbow bent, measure from shoulder bone to wrist or desire length of sleeves.

6.  Wrist Circumference (Wrist round) - Measure around your wrist (only for full sleeves).
